The Oklahoma City Thunder have won the $1.3 billion lottery for the 2017-18 NBA championship and it’s a good thing they have their own marketing department.
The Thunder won a $5.2 million jackpot, a record for a team and a first since the Los Angeles Lakers won $539 million in 1996-97.
The franchise won the lottery with a record $3.1 billion in revenue.
That’s $1 billion more than it took in last season and $534 million more than the Lakers.
Oklahoma City is now the NBA’s second-largest franchise behind the Cleveland Cavaliers with a $3 billion valuation.
It is the highest-valued franchise in the league and will get the top prize in the 2018-19 NBA Draft.
The NBA also won the 2017 Lottery for the 20th time, and the league has won the most lottery jackpots in history.
The league won the first Lottery in 1950.
The Oklahoma City franchise has sold more than 3.5 million vehicles, making it the largest auto brand in the country.
